Safe Routes to Play

The City of Lebanon, NH, in collaboration with the Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission and the Healthy New Hampshire Foundation implemented the nation’s first Safe Routes to Play initiative. With GP RED providing technical assistance, the collaborative surveyed citizens at the neighborhood level to determine perceptions of safety in the use of non-motorized travel modes to play destinations and parks.
